Project Overview
The School committed to renewable heating as part of a large renovation program. They looked to HT Energy to design ground source systems to heat the MFL and Art Geography blocks. The playing field was used to install over 3.6km of collector pipe that gathered the renewable energy required for the systems. The fields were then reinstated as they were the rugby pitches for the school. The radiators and fan heaters in the classrooms were upgraded to run at lower temperatures adding to the overall efficiency of the systems. Once commissioned the school benefitted from claiming the Non Domestic RHI for the next 20 years.
