Project Overview
This traditional brick and stone-built farm house was renovated so the owner could have a new ground floor with under floor heating throughout. HT Energy installed a Uponor UFH system to the ground floor in a screed above new insulation and resized radiators to the first floor. They also installed a NIBE 1345- 40kw GSHPs for the main house and annex. The cellar was used as a plantroom which housed the additional VPB500 hot water cylinder and UKV300 buffer tank. The ground source heat pumps gather their renewable energy via 2.8km of collector pipe trenched in the adjacent fields. This array gives plenty of energy for the systems. The GSHP system was eligible for the RHI as well.
